World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.
For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is used (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using standard methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve after a future reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and some upgrades that offer a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade parts which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.
In the final game you'll find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When a player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. item upgrade could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't require it.
If upgrade item has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each each time you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned like chances to be crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs listed above.
